Deep Freeze as a book

Graphic Essay on Amazon

It has been a long way, but it’s finally here. My first book, the graphic essay Deep Freeze (English Edition) is now available on Amazon!

This is so exciting - holding the physical book in your hands. After talking about it for so long, sharing glimpses of the illustrations, and participating in public talks about decolonial practices, seeing it as a tangible object is a very nice feeling. It’s a bit scary, too; as an artist, you always see all the details you’d like to improve, but I realize that chasing perfection would take another eternity. This was my first experience in creating a book, and I am glad and thankful for every lesson and every mistake I gathered along the way.

One of the things I am most excited about is being able to share this with my family and relatives in Mongolia. This book is about our common ancestors, and I know there are many Buryat families who went through similar experiences.

Being a no-name-author, a self-publisher, and a promoter all at once offers a lot of freedom, but it definitely brings its own kind of pressure. Surprisingly, sharing my personal experiences hasn't felt awkward. Instead, it has given me strength and motivation. Because the narrative is built on real conversations, encounters with real people and shared history.

I am very proud to say that an increadible amount of about 100 people already have the digital Russian edition, a real global movement, ))) I know! And now finally one can order the physical paper copy.

You can find more background information on Deep Freeze in my previous posts.
